Commercial Superintendent – Austin/Houston, TX

The superintendent is charged with daily control of all aspects of the job site including, but not limited to, coordination of materials and labor, management of the schedule, budgetary responsibility, and insuring adherence to scope and quality requirements.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

  • Pre-construction meetings to review plans, specifications, scope of work, change orders to date and budgets.
  • Schedule and coordinate with customer field representative for start date and deliveries.
  • Fill out necessary paperwork for materials and equipment delivery.
  • Constantly monitor all aspects of the execution of the work: labor, material, schedule delays and additional mobilization.
  • Coordinate and complete inspection items and warranty requirements.
  • Fill out necessary paperwork for materials and equipment delivery.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Review of payroll and timely submission to department manager for approval.
  • Review material/labor variance reports.
  • WIP (work in progress) – updated with weekly payroll processing.
  • Update Contracts Admin calendar for upcoming jobs.

Field Application:

  • Enforce all PetersenDean safety policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for hiring and maintaining crew leaders and all installers.
  • Monitor roof installation with plans, specifications and manufacturers recommendations (correct roof application).
  • Quality – responsible for all quality walks and sign-offs from builder at the end of each phase/lot
  • Maintain consistent jobsite cleanliness
  • Visit all jobs in progress at least twice a week.
