Sheet Metal Estimator – Anaheim, CA

Job Responsibilities:

  • Estimate type of materials by length or piece from the scope of work provided within the plans; Architectural, Structural and Mechanical sections. Establish / determine sheet metal products to be included in the budgets from the Completed project information sheet provided by Sales department.
  • Prepare budgets for all items to be included within the proposal with all necessary details. At a margin pre-determined by Sales Management
  • Review the scope of work provided by the builder with sales department.
  • List all exclusions from the budget onto the proposals.
  • List all inclusions by details (alpha and number designation) onto the proposal from the detail sections within both mechanical and structural sections of the plans.
  • Work directly with operations department for all changes that have occurred in the actual field condition with regards to both labor and material changes
  • Report all field changes to administrative/Contracts Manger.
  • Request revised budgets to match field changes.
  • All budget changes require sign-off by Management.
  • Schedule time effectively to meet due dates.
  • Prepare budgets for all know options, when options are selected contracts administration will have an options budget in the file to match options pricing on the proposal.
  • Work directly with operations and fabrication departments on materials required to be made to the specifications and scope of work within the plans.
  • Must stay aware and up to date on all sheet metal codes and or installation requirements for assurance of compliance.
  • Other duties assigned as needed


  • At least 5 years’ experience in the sheet metal industry. Familiarity with the building/construction industry
  • Bi-lingual English Spanish a plus(not a requirement)
