All the team did an amazing job - from the start Roby Shiroma (sales) to Ivy Bruner (Project Coordinator) then the follow team Roofer and Solar installers all deserve a kudos.. the project was easier then I could ever expect giving the magnitude and work involved. Great job everyone and I will spread the word to anyone thinking about Solar or Re-Roofing!!!nnthank younnjose
Jim, we used Petersen Dean to install our Solar near the end of May 2016. We were extremely pleased with the process. Brian Pease was a low-pressure salesperson who was a pleasure to work with. However, a huge factor was that we had had a new roof installed about 3 years beforehand. It had a 25-year warranty. Of course, the warranty would have been voided once solar was installed. However, Petersen Dean, being a roofing company, stepped in and picked up the rest of the warranty. This gives us great peace of mind since if repairs are needed, the company that is responsible for them knows what it's doing and will not have to farm it out to a subcontractor.
When the day of installation came, a large crew showed up, worked at least 8 and probably 9 hours, and finished the job the same day as promised. It was extremely gratifying to see your technician plug the system into our smart meter and see the meter showing a negative number.
So, we just got our annual solar settlement from PG&E. Our total cost for electricity for the year was $375. Our annual electricity bill had averaged $3,350 a year for the past several years. In other words, we saved almost $3,000. Based on a net cost of $14,700 after our tax credit, that works out to be a return on investment of more than 20%. I don't know about you, but I would be extremely happy if my Investment Portfolio performed that well.
By the way, for over 10 years we were on the grandfathered time of day plan, which saved us a great deal of money. Of course, right around the time, we installed solar, they terminated the old plan. Had we not installed solar, I'm sure our costs would have increased by hundreds of dollars a year on whatever new plan we chose.
Even better, we have central air conditioning which we use about 15 or 20 days a year. On the old time of day plan, we couldn't use our air conditioner between noon and 6 p.m., which is when the house heated up the most. Now, with solar, time of day is irrelevant, and we can use the air conditioner when we need it.
I do get a kick of listening to your commercials on the air. Folks, I can't do this forever! (By the way, of course, you can as long as it's profitable.). :-) But I do love your folksy approach, and I think it works well.
So anyway, I'm sure that not all of your systems work out this well, but ours did, and I wanted to let you know. You are in a great business and I wish you continued success in the future.
Great job! panels look great, and work great too!
Very good service and work ethic. I appreciate the hard work.
Great Job. Fast service.
Amazing thought and attention to detail. Very quick and professional.
I normally don't write letters regarding the workmanship or the service I receive from a vendor. However in the case I take exception. The project team was outstanding. They communicated with me the entire process from the quote to final completion. The workmanship and professionalism of the installation crew was top notch. They were polite and respect full for not making notice, since my wife works from home doing client training via the internet. We are very please with services from everyone associated with our installation. PetersenDean is tops in our book.
This was my second solar project. Although my first company did a good job as far as equipment selection, installation, and workmanship, it took them over 6 months from the date of signing to complete the work. They stated that this was due to the requirement for SDG&E's involvement in the process to replace my electrical panel. My sister had her solar installed by PetersenDean and had nothing but great things to say. My brother-in-law did extensive research before he found them, but then again, so did I with my first company. I had an exactly identical situation when I went through PetersenDean as I had with my first company. I needed a panel upgrade, and I also ordered insulation in this case. If anything, PetersenDean should have take longer. Needless to say, that was far from the case. Start to finish, including panel upgrade and insulation, took less than 3 months. My sister didn't require a panel upgrade, and hers took about 3 weeks for anyone interested who does NOT require the panel upgrade. So PetersenDean did more work involving more coordination of differing teams, yet completed in HALF the time of my prior company. Not only that, but they were on top of communication during the entire process. That was not the case at all with the last company. Months went by where I had little to no communication. Each and every employee with which I worked at PetersenDean was extremely professional and courteous. I particularly wanted to thank Gary Spicer and Rishi Narain for going above and beyond. They made the entire experience exceptional. If you're looking for solar, insulation, or any roof work, look no further. PetersenDean has 30 years in the industry, and it shows. For what it's worth, my opinion is never for sale, so what I've stated here (as well as any of my reviews) is the genuine article without any compensation whatsoever.
I had a wonderful experience with the solar installation. I enjoyed witnessing the trust in the contract, promises, installation & all personnel involved. My only wish is that the process could have moved more swiftly from inception to completion. Thanks for a job well done!
Looks better than I expected! Crew did an outstanding job.
