Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is charged with overall operations and profitability at division level. The
position requires daily oversight of all aspects of job procurement and execution including, but not
limited to, accuracy of estimating, coordination of materials and labor, management of the schedule,
budgetary responsibility, and insuring adherence to scope and quality requirements.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages and maintains budget on all jobs
  • Maintains extensive knowledge of financials directly related to the division
  • Work with sales staff to develop trade partnerships
  • Ability to review information on bids of new scopes of work
  • Work with Estimating to ensure accuracy and timeliness of proposals
  • Meet with superintendents to make sure jobs are running as scheduled
  • Oversees collections related to the division
  • Complete all paperwork needed on new accounts
  • Manages the procurement process of materials, supplies and manpower

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with the building/construction trades
  • Excellent organizational, management and communication skills
  • Must be self-driven, highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills
