The position is to help the manager with multi-tasking functions related to permit processing including routine review of City’s codes, completing building permit application, dropping off, and picking up city permit packets. You will also interface with client, city staff and the team lead on various technical issues relating to the project.
Depending on the work volume, the typical day may be spent driving in a company car to municipality/City offices, often be on the road most of the day driving from City to City to process city permits. On any given day, you will be filling out the building permit applications, dropping off and picking up 2-3 city permits. It is your responsibility to understand the technical drawings and ensure that the permit applications are approved.
